Volunteers posing before building furniture

VCBO Architects have taken a hands-on approach to support the Teen Living Center, which is set to open this fall. The firm’s team donated their time to assemble beds and desks for the new facility, aiming to provide a comfortable and functional environment for the center’s residents.

Jeanne Jackson, Principal Architect at VCBO, expressed the firm's dedication to the project. “We are really invested in this project. We wanted the kids to have some nice stuff, and we found this Ikea furniture that’s very economical. It solves a problem, it has 4 drawers for them and a couple of cubbies,” Jackson said. “We thought that it would be a fun thing to come here and put these beds together, so we got our crack team of architects and designers. One of our guys has already put together 3, he’s quite incredible. We just feel really strongly that we care about the kids in the district, and we wanted everything to be wonderful.”

The Teen Living Center is anticipated to offer vital support and resources to local youth, and VCBO’s contribution will help ensure that the space is both practical and welcoming.
