We are thrilled to announce that Andru Jones, teacher and coach at Viewmont High School, has been honored as the Davis School District Teacher of the Year!
This prestigious recognition underscores his dedication and passion for teaching, as well as his significant impact on the lives of his students and the community. We are honored to have him as part of the district.
“He’s a gifted leader, and he’s got a great mind for strategy,” Superintendent Dr. Dan Linford said. “But, he’s a humble, sweet, lifelong learner, and we love that about this man.”
In celebration of this remarkable achievement, Andru was surprised with an incredible gift— a car giveaway courtesy of Young Kia. The entire school community came together to support Andru and celebrate his outstanding contributions.
The car giveaway serves as a testament to the power of community partnerships through our Davis Education Foundation. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Young Kia and the Young Caring for our Young Foundation for their generous donation and to Goldenwest Credit Union for providing insurance coverage for the vehicle.
