Empowering Incoming Seventh Graders

Incoming seventh graders at North Layton Jr. High were given a unique opportunity to learn self-control, effort, teamwork and social responsibility through the LIFEsports program.

Over four dozen students embarked on a four-week journey, where they were introduced to six different sports. The free program empowers students through sport, fitness and educational activities, allowing them to explore their new school and interact with teachers and peers.

The camp culminated in an exciting Olympic-style event where four teams competed in volleyball, football, soccer, dance, track, and basketball. Each event had first, second, and third-place winners. The Gray Wolves earned the most points and won the best overall team.

LIFEsports aims to expose students to new games and provide them with transferable skills for the classroom and at home.

Special thanks to the Davis Education Foundation for making this incredible event possible.
