On Friday, Aug. 23, Oak Hills Elementary School celebrated its 60th anniversary with a heartwarming event. The celebration brought together alumni, current students, teachers and community members to honor six decades of educational achievements and shared memories. The evening featured a nostalgic look back at the school’s history and highlighted its enduring impact on the community.

Guests enjoyed viewing class pictures from various years, yearbooks and photos. A standout feature of the event was the memory wall, where attendees wrote down their cherished school memories. Highlights included reminiscing about "Singing 'Old Town Road' in the oak in 4th grade" and "Playing Oregon Trail during computers." One special moment was when a family with three generations of Oak Hills students attended, symbolizing the school’s deep-rooted connection with its community.
